after reading about a third of marquis de sade's 120 days of sodom i put down the book. also, i am in another country now. i stopped collecting material and went on to other things. now somehow it doesn't leave my head, and i want to clarify what it is that interests me again.
sex and somehow pushing myself to read about things that i despise
violence and power structures
the closed space that allows for special circumstances
weltabgewandtheit
das schreiben dieser taten- wo ist der beobachter.
where is the spectator? and here it touches boarders with the spectacle, a trope that i encountered some times when talking about biennales, art fairs, and the like
the excess- kann man das denken
the cold mountains as settings, could it be re-written in a tropical setting?
omg, this is quite a nice idea. re-write the 120 days of sodom.
a page a day, to be able to stomach it. and what could be the starting point?
would i be the spectator? or one of the characters? and if so, who? one of the women, possibly?
one of the kids, who haven't got a voice. maybe this is a way to stomach the story to the end, which was the intention of the blog from the start, to latch myself to a virtual community in order not to feel alone. but maybe this is what i should go for, enclose myself with the book and go for it.
umschreiben, das hat auch was von can the subalterns speak.
of course they can.
they can speak, moan, die.
such says the book, as far as i can remember.
snuff
the animal human
human trafficking, porn, gonzo
the metaphor and the body
the order of things
the idea of consent
the male dominance
authority
to enjoy
